We are in the homestretch of the girls basketball season.  Less than three weeks remain before the district tournament begins on March 4th.

There are no changes in the top six of this week's poll.  But below that, there are changes.  Haslett falls out of the poll after two losses to Lansing Catholic and Williamston.  And so does Leslie after losing in overtime to Marshall on Saturday.

So who replaces them?  That would be Bath and East Lansing.  The Fighting Bees have regrouped after losing three CMAC games recently.  And the lady Trojans of East Lansing have won six straight games to move back into contention in the CAAC Blue.

Some of this week's remaining top games include:

On Tuesday, Lansing Catholic is at Portland while Leslie hosts Michigan Center.  Also, Haslett is at Marshall.

On Wednesday, Bath is at Dansville, Fowler is at Perry, Portland St. Pats is at Lansing Christian, and Fowler is at Perry.

Thursday's action features:  East Lansing at DeWitt and Leslie at Grass Lake.

And on Friday, Williamston can clinch the outright CAAC Red title if they beat Fowlerville at home.  Lansing Catholic is at Lakewood, Dansville is at Laingsburg, and Bath is at P-W.

And the girls district pairings will be figured out this coming weekend.  They will be publicized at some point next week.

And as always, Brock Palmbos will recap everything this coming Saturday morning with High School Rewind.  Heard every Saturday morning during the season from 10am-11am on your trusted source for high school sports coverage, The Game 730 AM WVFN.
