Congratulations to head coach Al Schrauben and the Portland St. Patrick lady Shamrocks.  As they clinched the outright title in the CMAC with their win over Laingsburg last week.  They will be playing in the Fulton district on Wednesday against the Webberville/Lansing Christian winner.

There were a couple of upsets last week in girls basketball.  As 7-15 Grand Ledge upset top 10 ranked (in Division 1) Jackson Northwest, 42-35 at Grand Ledge.  And CAAC Red champ Williamston won at home over CAAC White co-champ Portland 45-39.

And after losing to Frankenmuth earlier in the week, defending Division 2 state champ Lansing Catholic won at Holt in overtime, 47-42.

There are 10 games involving Lansing-area teams on Monday, with as many as 16 coming up on Wednesday.  All area district finals will be on Friday night at 7:00pm.  You can find out the area district matchups by clicking here.

This is the final girls basketball poll of the regular season.  The very last poll will be released after the state finals at the Breslin Center on March 23rd.

But High School Rewind will continue throughout the month of March.  It will air this coming Saturday from 10a-11a here on The Game 730 AM WVFN.
