Lansing-Area Boys Basketball District Matchups

The Michigan high school boys basketball district pairings were announced this past Sunday.  And now the 40 or so area teams know who/when/where they're going to play in the 99th Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) boys basketball state tournament.

The following are the district matchups involving area teams.  The tournament starts next Monday, February 26th.

DIVISION 1

(At Mason)

Monday:  Holt (8-13) vs. Everett (8-10) - 7:00pm

Wednesday:  East Lansing (19-2) vs Holt/Everett winner - 5:30pm.  Mason (19-2) vs. Okemos (18-3) - 7:00pm.

Friday:  Final - 7:00pm.

(At Grand Ledge)

Monday:  Grand Ledge (8-13) vs. Eastern (11-10) - 7:00pm

Wednesday:  DeWitt (13-7) vs. St. Johns (10-11) - 5:30pm.  Waverly (16-5) vs. Grand Ledge/Eastern winner - 7:00pm.

Friday:  Final - 7:00pm.

DIVISION 2

(At Ionia)

Monday:  Lakewood (4-17) vs. Belding (15-6) - 5:30pm.  Grand Rapids West Michigan Aviation Academy (12-9) vs. Ada-Forest Hills Eastern (10-11) - 7:00pm.

Wednesday:  Portland (13-6) vs. Belding/Lakewood winner - 5:30pm.  Ionia (9-12) vs. Grand Rapids WMAA/Ada-Forest Hills Eastern winner - 7:00pm.

Friday:  Final - 7:00pm.

(At Charlotte)

Monday:  Eaton Rapids (9-12) vs. Lansing Catholic (7-14) - 5:30pm.  Charlotte (15-6) vs. Haslett (4-16) - 7:00pm.

Wednesday:  Sexton (15-4) vs. Eaton Rapids/Lansing Catholic winner - 5:30pm.  Olivet (15-6) vs. Charlotte/Haslett winner - 7:00pm.

Friday:  Final - 7:00pm.

(At Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)

Monday:  Fowlerville (4-16) vs. Pinckney (4-17) - 7:00pm.

Wednesday:  Chelsea (15-6) vs. Fowlerville/Pinckney winner - 5:30pm.  Williamston (11-10) vs. Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard (9-11) - 7:00pm.

Friday:  Final - 7:00pm.

DIVISION 3

(At Potterville)

Monday:  Saranac (5-16) vs. Carson City-Crystal (7-13) - 7:00pm
