Lansing-Area Girls Basketball District Matchups

The Michigan high school girls basketball district pairings were announced this past Sunday by the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

The state tournament will begin next Monday, March 4th.  The regionals are the following Monday and Wednesday (March 11th & 13th), with the state semifinals and finals at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center the weekend of March 21st-23rd.

Ok, on with the matchups involving the 30+ area teams next week (Records listed are as of February 28th):

DIVISION 1

(At Holt)

Monday:  Mason (11-9) vs. Okemos (9-12) - 7:00p.

Wednesday:  Jackson Northwest (17-4) vs. Mason/Okemos winner - 5:30p.  East Lansing (15-6) vs. Holt (14-7) - 7:00p.

Friday:  Final - 7:00p.

(At St. Johns)

Monday:  Waverly (9-11) vs. St. Johns (10-11) - 7:00p.
