Another high school boys basketball season is over.  And so this article is sort of like the "Season In Review" article recapping the season.

East Lansing (CAAC Blue), Mason (CAAC Red), Sexton (CAAC White), and Laingsburg (CMAC) were the outright league champions.  And the thing about that was that all four of those teams ended league play undefeated.

We had seven area schools win district titles:  East Lansing, Waverly, Charlotte (who upset Sexton in the district finals), Ionia (who upset Portland in the district final), Laingsburg, P-W, and Fowler.

But only one of those teams won a regional title, and that was East Lansing in Division 1.  And they lost a tight quarterfinal to Ann Arbor Huron, 54-48 at Holt HS.

East Lansing figures to be the top team in the area entering next season.  They'll have top players returning like KJ Torbert and Cameron Hutson.  But other teams like Waverly (with Derek Thomas II), Mason (with Levi Stambaugh & Cason Carswell), and Sexton (with Keyshawn Sommerville) will be good as well.

Okemos will be in a rebuild as well with the Walton twins (Colin and Brennan) and Collin Alexander graduating.

Laingsburg loses their great All-Stater Zander Woodruff to graduation, so it looks like a rebuild for them.  P-W looks to be the favorite in the CMAC next season with Grady Eklund returning for his junior season.

Even though nobody made it to the Breslin Center for the semifinals & finals, it was still a very competitive season in Mid-Michigan.

And now, here is the last Top 10 poll of the season:
