Congratulations are in order for Lansing Sexton and Laingsburg as they clinched the CAAC White and CMAC, respectively, with wins last week.  It's Sexton's first league title since 2012, when Carlton Valentine led the then-Big Reds to the second of two straight Class B state titles.

Laingsburg, with their three wins last week, clinched their second straight CMAC title.  But their best win was last Monday, when they finished the game on a 16-0 run to upset Div. 2's 6th ranked team, Freeland on the road, 72-65.  The Wolfpack's all-stater, Zander Woodruff, went for a career-high 52 points in the win.

This upcoming week is the final week of the regular season, as the district tournaments begin next Monday.  But some big games remain before the postseason begins.

On Monday, Okemos hosts Muskegon Heights Academy.  Tuesday's action features:  Holt at DeWitt, East Lansing at Grand Ledge (A Trojan victory gives them the outright CAAC Blue title), Charlotte is at Portland, and Laingsburg will try to cap off their second straight undefeated regular season with a home win over arch-rival Bath.

On Wednesday, Sexton plays Everett at Don Johnson Fieldhouse.  And Perry is at Stockbridge.  Thursday's action has Mason at Williamston and Bath at P-W.

On Friday, it's the rematch between Okemos and East Lansing, DeWitt is at Waverly, and Sexton is at Portland (trying to finish off an undefeated CAAC White campaign).

We'll have the Okemos at East Lansing game here on The Game 730 AM WVFN this coming Friday night.  Broadcast time is right around 7:00.  And Brock Palmbos will recap everything that happened during the week this coming Saturday at 10:00am with High School Rewind.
