We are now in the heart of the regular season in high school boys basketball.  Not quite to the halfway point, but close.

Only East Lansing and Laingsburg remain undefeated.  And only Okemos (9-1), Portland (8-1), and P-W (8-1) have one loss.

East Lansing had the win of the week when they took down a strong Waverly squad, 69-62, on Thursday night at East Lansing HS.  K.J. Torbert was sensational, scoring 32 points for the Trojans.

And Laingsburg's winning streak is now 36 wins in their last 38 games after beating .  And they can extend that streak this week with three games in five days.

Tuesday's top games include:  Mason hosting Parma Western, Portland is at Charlotte, and Grand Ledge is at St. Johns.

Wednesday is CMAC night.  Laingsburg hosts Dansville and Perry is at Potterville.

Thursday features East Lansing at DeWitt and Grand Ledge at DeWitt.

Friday's schedule features Williamston at Mason (for the CAAC Red lead), Holt is at Okemos, P-W is at Perry, and Portland is at Sexton.

And undefeated East Lansing plays at East Kentwood on Saturday.

We will have the Portland at Sexton game on our airwaves this Friday night.  It's for the lead in the CAAC White.  Brock Palmbos and Erik "Doc" Love will have the call from Sexton HS at 7:00pm.
