Michigan State honored Draymond Green Tuesday night by raising his number into the rafters of the Breslin Center.

Draymond last wore his Spartan jersey in 2012, when he won national Player of the Year honors. Green's name is still in the record books at MSU as Sparty's all time leader in rebounds (1,096), 2nd in steals (180), 6th in blocks (117) and 19th in points (1,517).

Green made the trip from Saginaw to East Lansing with one goal, to play basketball at Michigan State. He explained to the crown about what it was like for him.

As a kid from Saginaw, Michigan, my goal and dream was to play at Michigan State, it wasn’t to get my jersey retired, and I lived that dream

Draymond has lived quite a few dream situations, going on to win three NBA Titles, become a three time all-star, and Defensive Player of the Year. He is arguably the second most decorated player to ever come out of Michigan. Magic Johnson has one more championship than Green, but Green is still in the middle of his career.

Green is only the 10th player to have his jersey retired for Michigan State basketball. The others are Mateen Cleaves, Morris Peterson, Magic Johnson, Shawn Respert, Jay Vincent, Greg Kelser, Steve Smith, Johnny Green, and Scott Skiles.

Green has been compared to a ton of different players throughout his career, but any Sparty fan will tell you that there's only one Draymond.
