Jesse Chavez (4-2) gav up eight hits over six innings for the loss.  Detroit now travels north to Seattle for a three game series with the Mariners starting Friday night Justin Verlander (5-4) goes for the Tigers while Hisashi Iwakuma (3-1) gets the start for Seattle.
