Last week, I wrote that it was "Make or Break" week for the Detroit Red Wings. As they try to make the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2016.

They were in the middle of their seven-game losing streak and playing like crap. Some of that due to the injury to team captain Dylan Larkin.

Well, I must've put the C-Bush curse on them. Because since then, the team has lost six straight games. And, at times, has looked awful. The losses to Arizona and Buffalo recently are prime examples of that.

You weren't sure what you going to get from Kane (pictured above) after he had hip resurfacing surgery this past off-season. But, in the 25 games he has played in a Wings uniform, he has scored 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists).

As of this writing (the afternoon of December 29), the Winged Wheelers are 16-15-4 and have fallen three points out of the last Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers face the Detroit Red Wins in the annual Black Friday game. The Flyers enter the game with an 8-2-4 record in November, while Detroit comes in on a seven-game losing streak.

The Rocket Mortage Classic is in Detroit June 27-30 at the Detroit Golf Club. Along with the classic there will be a celebrity/sports star event called, Area 313 Challenge.
