Soaring Eagle made the announcement in November that they would be joining the ranks of sports betting here in Michigan. Saginaw Chippewa Gaming Enterprises partnered with Kambi Group plc to join the already 14 online gaming & sportsbook options in the state.

“We have taken considerable time to ensure we have an offering that is customer centered with a focus on true relationship building wagering. Everyone here is very excited and ready to not only meet but exceed all your gaming experiences,” Melinda Coffin, CEO of Soaring Eagle told Play Michigan.

To celebrate the Grand Opening's timing of launching just in time for the NCAA Championship Game, Soaring Eagle will have some very special guests on hand. Joining the festivities will be Michigan State University 2000 College Champions Morris Peterson, Mateen Cleaves, along with a few others.

The long-awaited opening has been something Soaring Eagle guests have been excited about.

"Our loyal guests and Soaring Eagle team have been anxiously looking forward to sports betting at our casinos. We look forward to working with Kambi Group and providing a great experience for our guests", said Coffin.

Soaring Eagle is slated to launch the Eagle Casino & Sports mobile platform later this spring.

LOOK: The story behind every NFL team name

Stacker delved into the story behind every NFL football team name. Overall team records, also included, are reflective of NFL regular-season games. There are some football teams with well-known nicknames—the Jets, for instance, are often referred to as Gang Green—but we also divulge how some teams’ official names are sparingly used (the Jets’ neighbors, the Giants, are actually known as the New York Football Giants). Sometimes a team name can tell you a lot about local history: The Vikings of Minnesota draw upon the area’s strong ties to Scandinavia, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dripping in local legend related to Florida’s pirate past.

Let’s kick off the countdown with the folks who earned their nickname by buying boxes of used team jerseys.
