Potential Weather Postponing Several Sporting Events

Because of the impending winter storm that is expected to hit the state of Michigan on Thursday, there are a few games that have been either postponed or cancelled.

Friday night's Detroit Red Wings @ Ottawa Senators has been postponed until February 27th.  It's the second NHL game that has been postponed due to the coming storm as Friday night's Tampa Bay Lightning at Buffalo Sabres game was postponed on Wednesday night.

As of Thursday afternoon at noon, the Detroit Pistons at Atlanta Hawks was still on as scheduled.  You'll be able to hear that on The Game 730 AM WVFN on Friday night at 7:05pm with Mark Champion & Rick Mahorn.

Locally, there are a number of high school basketball games that have been canceled, or moved up to beat the storm.

Thursday night's Grand Ledge at Mt. Pleasant boys basketball game has been moved up from 7:00pm to 5:00pm.  St. Johns home game against Swartz Creek for tonight was canceled, and tomorrow night's game between Pewamo-Westphalia and Muskegon Heights PSA at Ferris State University was canceled as well.

On the girls side, Thursday's Fowler at Bath game has been moved up from 7:00pm to 5:00pm.  The St. Johns at Swartz Creek game was canceled as well as Thursday's Pewamo-Westphalia vs. Big Rapids game at Ferris State University.
