Lansing-Area Boys Basketball Top 10 Poll (As of December 20th)

We are two weeks into the boys high school basketball season in the state of Michigan, and we have already seen some top level performances so far in December.

How about DeWitt's Bryce Kurncz with a 39 point game against Mt. Pleasant?  And Grand Ledge's Teddy Williams with a 24 point, 23 rebound performance in the season opener at home against Caledonia.  And what about Okemos freshman K.J. Torbert with a half-court heave to beat Howell last Friday night?  That was wild.

Yes, it's been very eventful so far on the boys side.  And a few surprises in the boys ranks.  Mason, who has struggled in recent years, is off to a 4-1 start.  Charlotte has started off 3-1.  And the St. Johns Red Wings have begun 3-1.

But six area teams are undefeated at this point, they are:  Okemos, Ionia, Olivet, Stockbridge, Vermontville Maple Valley, P-W, and Laingsburg.

And if you disagree with my picks...it's only my opinion, and I could be wrong.

Having said all of this, here is the first top 10 poll of the season:

We will have the DeWitt at Grand Ledge on Tuesday night here on The Game 730 AM WVFN.  Erik "Doc" Love joins me from Grand Ledge HS with the game coverage at 7:00pm.
