Let’s Take A Moment To Appreciate The Dominance Of DeWitt Football
Another year, another peerless conference performance from DeWitt.
The Panthers (6-1) wrapped up another 5-0 CAAC Red Division championship last week with a 28-0 win at Haslett--their 16th (!) straight win over their rivals. It marked the end of DeWitt's tenure in the CAAC Red.
A tenure that was perfect, by the way.
DeWitt joined the CAAC Red in the 2011 season. The Panthers won the league all seven years they competed in it. In fact, they never once lost a league game, posting a perfect 35-0 record over that span.
But that may not even be the gaudiest stat DeWitt boasts during the Rob Zimmerman era. Since his arrival in 1999, Zimmerman has led the school to several rather astonishing feats.
When you take it all into consideration, it's apparent that Zimmerman has built one of the state of Michigan's truly dominant high school football programs. The accomplishments and streaks speak for themselves. Let's take a look at just a few.
