Saints Trade Adrian Peterson To Cardinals

As ESPN's Dianna Russini first reported on Tuesday morning, the New Orleans Saints have sent former NFL MVP, running back Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals for a future conditional draft choice.

Peterson signed with the Saints after an excellent 10-year career with the Minnesota Vikings back in April.  But the 2012 league MVP fell on the team's depth chart to third-string after just four games.

The Saints (2-2) host the Detroit Lions next Sunday.
