The revised Big Ten season begins in less than a month. I have no idea what kind of football team MSU will have this year. Not only is there the pandemic to consider, but there will also be a lot of new players and an entirely new coaching staff.

They also didn’t think they would be playing because the season was postponed on August 11th. So now they're started up again and there are a lot of unanswered questions.

Who is the MSU Spartan starting quarterback going to be? I really have no idea. The beat writers have had limited exposure to the Spartan football team going into the season. This team was also quarantined when some team members tested positive for Covid-19.

A new head coach and coaching staff bring a lot of uncertainty, too. Will this coach work out? I also have no idea who the leaders on this team will be. And we have to remember that there will be no fans except some of the parents of the players, so that may make a difference as well.

The Spartans lead off with Rutgers on October 24th. Then, their next opponent will be the Michigan Wolverines. Mel Tucker’s first season at the helm is going to be intriguing. Will the Spartans be competitive or not very good? I have no idea and I’m not the only one.

I really don’t know what to expect. I guess we will see pretty soon!
