How Bad Will the Detroit Lions Be This Year?

The Detroit Lions kick off their 89th season Sunday in Arizona vs the Cardinals at 4:25 on Fox.

Arizona QB Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy last year and begins his pro career against the Lions. This is a great sign for him. The Lions can be a springboard for success as long as you don't play for them.

Anquan Boldin began his career against the Lions back in 2003. Boldin set an NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie in that game 217 and caught 2 touchdowns. Sure, the Lions won that day, but Boldin made his name.

How bad will the Lions be? They were 6-10 last year. The ESPN projection had them starting the year 0-11 and finishing 4-12 at the bottom of the NFC North.
