The Spartans could be returning a piece of their lineup for the NCAA tournament in power forward Kenny Goins.

The redshirt freshman has been out of the Michigan State lineup since February 14th when he suffered a knee injury in a win over Big Ten winners Indiana.

Goins was expected to be out only 2-4 weeks for what was thought to be a slight tear in his MCL, as we approach the end of that time table it appears it is possible that Goins could be back in time for the NCAA tournament.

Goins played significant minutes in wins over Oakland, Michigan and Maryland so far this season. Prior to his injury in the Indiana game, Goins had played over 20 minutes in three of the previous five games he appeared in.
