To Be the Man You Have to Beat the Man

What a football game! Last night in Baltimore it was the Pat Mahomes show. Mahomes of course is the outstanding quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was superb. He completed 31-42 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns as the Chiefs beat the Ravens 34-20. Mahomes also scored a touchdown running on the ground.

The reason this game was so special is because his Chiefs were a road underdog. Their opponent was the Baltimore Ravens and MVP Lamarr Jackson. Lamarr Jackson and Mahomes are both just great young quarterbacks in the NFL. But Jackson can’t beat the Chiefs. They are now 0-3 against the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

Patrick Mahomes' father pitched for the New York Mets also. Mahomes played his college ball at Texas Tech. He won last year’s Super Bowl (LIV) and was the MVP of the game. Mahomes was also MVP in 2018. This guy is only going to get greater if he stays healthy. Just like the "Nature Boy” Ric Flair says, “to be the man you have beat the man,” and he’s definitely the man!
