Tigers Trade For K-Rod
Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Detroit Tigers have sent minor league infielder Javier Betancourt to the Milwaukee Brewers for veteran relief pitcher Francisco Rodriguez.
K-Rod, as he's commonly known for his propensity for strikeouts, was a setup man on the World Series-winning Anaheim Angels squad in 2002. And he's been an excellent closer throughout his decade-plus career.
K-Rod has one year left on his contract, plus a $6 million club option for 2017.
