Threat Forces Waverly High School Evacuation

The Lansing State Journal reports that Waverly High School was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a threat of violence was discovered in a school bathroom.

The discovery was made just after 2:00 PM Tuesday, and the evacuation process reportedly took place 10 minutes later. Students were sent to The Waverly Middle School and were dismissed for the day at 2:30 PM.

Currently, the school remains closed until law enforcement officials deem the school grounds safe. This means that all after school activities are canceled until the scene is clear and deemed safe.
