I know we've passed Halloween but it seems that maybe a little bit of bad luck hex was placed on teams named after cats in the NFL, after the star studded debut performance of the Monday Night Football "black cat." When a black cat ran across the field during a Cowboys-Giants game during Week 9 of this season, it seemed like a good laugh, but then the Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Carolina Panthers didn't seem to be laughing, as they all went win-less since this took place.

Well the cat teams can breathe a sigh of relief. I mean, not the Lions cause they are doomed anyway. But the other three can as the Bengals have snapped the curse with their 22-6 victory over the Jets yesterday, giving them their lone victory of the season. The Detroit Lions are out of the playoff picture after once again snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory last Thursday with their loss 20-24 to the Chicago Bears.
