Veteran Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall, who has been out since having arthroscopic knee surgery back on January 18th, was put on long term-injured reserve today.

Kronwall is expected to be out for at least two more weeks.  The Red Wings return to action after the NHL All-Star Game on Wednesday when they visit the Tamp Bay Lightning.

The Red Wings are currently 25-16-8 on the season, tied with Tampa Bay for second in the Atlantic Division.
