After Major League Baseball suspended Houston Astros general manager Jeffrey Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch (pictured) for the entire 2020 season over the sign-stealing scandal from 2017, Astros owner Jim Crane fired both Luhnow and Hinch, effective immediately.

MLB also fined the team $5 million and took away a handful of future draft picks (in 2020 & 2021).  No word yet on a replacement for Hinch for the 2020 season.

MLB is continuing to investigate the Boston Red Sox for similiar violations during the 2018 season (where the Red Sox won the World Series), and could be announcing penalties soon.
