Matthew Stafford Now Has More Playoff Wins Since Leaving the Lions
Okay Detroit Lions fans, here comes the reigning truth about Matthew Stafford's time as quarterback for the Detroit Lions.
As you know, Matthew Stafford was quarterback for the Detroit Lions for roughly 12 years. During all that time as quarterback, not once did the Lions make it to the Super Bowl. (yet to be seen)
There was never a division title and not even one playoff game. So why is it now that Matthew Stafford has changed his legacy just by joining the Los Angeles Rams?
Did you watch the Rams against Tampa Bay on Sunday afternoon? What a great game and what a great job from quarterback Matthew Stafford.
According to mlive.com:
On Sunday, he did it again. Stafford reached back for a 44-yard bomb to Cooper Kupp down the middle of the field, then raced to the line of scrimmage to spike the ball with 4 seconds left. Matt Gay chipped in a 30-yard field goal at the buzzer, sending Los Angeles to the NFC championship game with a wild 30-27 win against Brady and the defending champs.
So what's next for the Los Angeles Rams? They'll take on the San Francisco 49ers this weekend for a shot to play in the Super Bowl.
The Rams will have their work cut out for them because the 49ers have defeated the Rams the last six games.
Can the Rams clinch the title and end up in the Super Bowl? I suppose anything is possible. Wouldn't it be great to see former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford play in a Super Bowl game? We'll see what happens this weekend.
