Why Mad Dog Knows Now Is a Hot Time to List a House for Sale
The temps are cold outside, but that doesn't mean the real estate market is chilly. My buddy Brock Fletcher was telling me the other day that houses are selling quickly now because of low interest rates and the relatively low number of homes listed on the market.
This is true across the market, but Brock and The SELLING Team with Keller Williams Realty are marketing masters. Many agents spend an average of $420 a month on marketing and dial back in the fall and winter, but not Brock. He spends thousands of dollars a month on marketing so he has buyers lined up as new listings hit the market.
He told me about George and Pam, who wanted to sell their Lansing area home so that they could purchase a new condominium. Brock and his team helped them sell it quickly with a CASH offer for $6,000 over the asking price. Then, they turned around and helped them buy their next home for $17,000 UNDER the asking price.
You've probably heard me talk about the nightmare my wife and I had trying to sell our condo with a different real estate agent shortly after we got married. Nine months and open house after open house — and it still wasn't sold. Never again!
