Lansing has really turned into an upcoming city in the United States. There are outstanding companies, visionary developers and young professionals, even under Pandemic conditions.

But there is one thing that is very troubling, and that's how dirty the city has become. We have everything going in the right direction; everything except keeping the city clean, neat and trash-less. That is obviously not a priority.

This has really become a pet peeve of mine. Who’s in charge of keeping the city clean? Is it the city council, the mayor or one area of city government? I grew up in this town. My family had a thriving business for over 85 years.

There have been so many great businesses that have come and gone. But the one thing that would be a negative is how the city has turned their back on keeping the city presentable. I never remember Lansing being so litter prone.

Please Mayor Andy Shor, take this under consideration. You are coming up for reelection and this could be a feather in your cap. Get this city cleaned up. People can’t blame this on the Pandemic.

Maybe I’m wrong, but if I am I will debate this with anyone on this topic. Lansing is a great city but it has to be cleaned up! If you disagree please let me know.
