It's a group for Lansing residents and those in the surrounding area to come together to share their love of food. Whether they're talking about their favorite local restaurants or posting mouth-watering pictures of the food they're making at home, it's certainly a community that has come together over the shared joy of yummy food. And now, they're taking it a step further.

Erin and James Brains, the founders and admins of the Lansing Foodies group, made a big announcement recently. Not only was Lansing Foodies "chosen to participate in the Facebook Community Accelerator Program", but they also announced that they would be using part of the grant money received in this program to host the first-ever Olive Burger festival!

Michigan's First-Ever Olive Burger Festival

The Olive Burger is the quintessential burger for Lansing. There's something about that combination of green olives and mayo that has Lansing obsessed. This is why you're likely to find an olive burger on many a Lansing area restaurant menu.

There aren't many details available on the festival just yet, as it was recently announced and they're still working out the fine points, but we do know that it will be taking place in Lansing in the Summer of 2023.
