It was an eventful Week 1 for high school football in the Mid-Michigan area.  And a lot of it had nothing to do with what happened on the field.  It has everything to do with the horrific storm that happened last Thursday that forced the postponement of most of the Thursday games to Friday.  I talk about my harrowing experience driving in said storm here.

As far as the results on the field.  Fourteen area 11-Player teams won their opening game, and all four area 8-Player teams won their opener as well.  Top teams Mason and DeWitt both were victorious to set up a major tilt this Thursday between the two schools.  You'll hear it on The Game 730 AM WVFN, beginning with the pregame at 6:00pm.
