As we are wrapping up one of Michigan's warmest winters on record, forecasters are predicting a spring that will also be warmer than normal.

March, April, and May for West Michigan to the Upper Peninsula will have above-normal temperatures for the Spring, which will be great for those with outdoor projects. Experts do fear the warmer-than-normal temperatures will also bring drier-than-normal conditions. The DNR has already put out burn warnings, and we are barely in the second week of March.

With temperatures warming up in Michigan, so is the orange in the form of construction barrels and signs as road crews get back to "Fixing the Damn Roads." There is one project to watch out for when heading north beginning later in March.

Just like our Michigan roads, the Mighty Mac needs a little love from time to time.

According to WOOD, if the weather cooperates crews will begin a paving project on the Mackinac Bridge on March 25 that will slow down traffic that will be crossing. This construction project will limit traffic to one lane in both directions and is said to wrap up by May 23.

So if you plan to cross the Mackinac Bridge between March 25 and May 23, you may want to avoid peak times (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) to not get caught up in a traffic delay.
