The Detroit Tigers (27-15) lost to the Cleveland Indians (22-25) in extra innings today, 11-10. Detroit started strong in the 1st inning starting with a sacrifice fly from Miguel Cabrera to score Rajai Davis. A ground ball single hit by Victor Martinez brought home Ian Kinsler, and to top it all off, a 2 Run Home Run from J.D. Martinez. The Indians would score a run at the bottom of the 1st, when David Murphy hit a sacrifice fly to score Michael Bourn. In the bottom of the 2nd, a ground double hit by Mike Aviles scored Lonnie Chisenhall. A line drive single from Michael Brantley scored Aviles and Bourn. David Murphy hit a fly double to bring home Michael Brantley, and Nick Swisher hit a line drive single which scored David Murphy. In the top of the 3rd, Victor Martinez hit a home run, only to be matched by Chistenhall in the bottom of the 3rd with a home run of his own. In the top of the 5th when a sacrifice fly by Austin Jackson to score Miguel Cabrera, and a ground-rule double to score Victor Martinez.  In the top of the 8th, a force attempt from Victor Martinez allowed Ian Kinsler to score. A line drive single from J.D. Martinez brought home Don Kelly. In the bottom of the 9th, A 2 run home run from David Murphy tied the game up and brought in extra innings. In the 13th inning, Alex Avila hit a single run home run to take the lead, but at the bottom of the 13th, a single ground ball form Michael Brantley scored Mike Aviles, and after the bases were loaded, a walk off balk, caused by Al Alburquerque scored the game winning run for the Indians.
