Here are the Five Things for December 10th:

1. Eastern Michigan defeated Michigan 45-42 in men's basketball on Tuesday night at Crisler Arena.  Jodan Price (above) led all scorers with 11 points.

2.  The Chicago Cubs have reportedly agreed to terms with free-agent pitcher Jon Lester.  Sources say the contract is for 6 years, $155 million with an option for a seventh year.

3. Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was involved in a two-car accident yesterday in Charlotte, NC.  He has two fractures in his lower back.  It is unclear whether Newton will play Sunday against Tampa Bay.

4. The Detroit Pistons lost their 13th straight game last night.  They dropped a 98-86 decision to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  LaMarcus Aldridge led all scorers with 23 points.  The Pistons are 3-19 on the season.

5. LeBron James' 3-pointer in the final minute gave the Cleveland Cavaliers the lead for good, as the Cavs won their eighth straight game.  They defeated Toronto 105-101 at Quicken Loans Arena.
