Detroit’s Adorable Beach Bar: Put Your Toes in the Sand and Relax
When the weather finally breaks for warmer temperatures in Michigan, everyone's cabin fever is instantly cured. A lot of people head to "the lake" or their favorite spot Up North. Others are perfectly content with a patio bar or nearby beach.
Detroit's Little Beach Bar
First things first, don't get your hopes up that there's somehow a lake or river running along this beach. You won't hear waves lapping along a shoreline, but you can take off your shoes and put your toes in the sand... in the middle of Downtown Detroit. BrisaBar is opening May 18th for its second summer season in Detroit.
Does BrisaBar serve food or just drinks?
BrisaBar has a solid menu for food in addition to beer, liquor, wine and frozen drinks. In fact, the menu salads (below) look amazing. Plus, shrimp tacos and even a Wagyu Beef burger and lobster rolls.
If you love truffle fries, you're in for a treat on that front, too.
BrisaBar Hours
If you're going to a weekday Detroit Tigers game or catching a concert at LCA or the FOX--take your flip flops or slides and your favorite SPF to enjoy the beach. Their hours of operation are:
- Sunday-Wednesday 11am-9pm
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11am-11pm
Happy hour is 3pm-6pm (M-F). BrisaBar can be booked for special events, too.

So, consider it a plus you don't have to find the perfect swimwear for Detroit's beach bar. And make it a point to take advantage of Michigan's beautiful summer weather in BrisaBar's very unique space.
