Can the Michigan State Basketball Team Get the Trifecta?
Tonight is going to be an electrifying night for Tom Izzo and his Spartan hoop team. MSU hosts the #4 ranked THE Ohio State Buckeyes. MSU is a -4 point home underdog tonight.
MSU beat Indiana on Saturday, they beat #5 Illinois on Tuesday, and now they play #4 THE Ohio State tonight. Just a wild intense run of games in such a short time period.
But I really feel that Izzo’s team is up to the task at hand. MSU showed more toughness and leadership against Illinois than they have in any other game this season. Like I’ve said in the past, don’t ever count out Tom Izzo and his ability to motivate and flat out coach his players.
THE Ohio State is a very solid club. For MSU to win tonight, Aaron Henry and Joshua Langford have to hit shots and score, and they can't back down from the Buckeye players.
Tonight’s game is a late start. It will be a 9 PM tip at the Breslin Center. This should be a very intense and hard fought game. MSU is not the same team as they were weeks ago when the Buckeyes beat them in Columbus.
Tom Izzo is getting closer to March, and you know what that means? A win tonight would be outstanding and they would be closer to getting an NCAA slot in March Madness. So the million dollar question is: can MSU pull off the Trifecta tonight in East Lansing?
