Can Michigan State Keep the Momentum Going?

Thursday night the MSU Spartan Hoop team got their trifecta. Beating #4 THE Ohio State 71-67 in the Breslin Center. This is now three consecutive wins for the Spartans.

It’s been a whirlwind week for Head Coach Tom Izzo and his team. They played three games in six days. Taking Illinois and THE Ohio State out! They’re both highly ranked in all of college basketball.

MSU has now put themselves right into the mix to make the NCAA Tournament. But they still have a lot of work to do. MSU lacked toughness and leadership until these past few games. Now they have it and everything is starting to fall into place. They're healthy with no COVID issues or injuries and that definitely makes a huge difference.

Never count out a Tom Izzo coached team. It’s almost March and you know what that means. Get your boots and trunks because it’s time for a Bunkhouse Match. Michigan State will travel to play Maryland on Sunday with a 1:00 PM tip.

I would say MSU needs at least 3-4 wins to get an NCAA seed in March Madness. They're only getting started even though it’s a little into the season. Better late than never! So, MSU got the trifecta and now they have to keep the momentum going. Can they do it?
