Bryn Forbes Makes The Spurs

The NBA gets its 2016-17 season started tonight and in the latest starting game of day one, Michigan State basketball fans have a double rooting interest.

Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors open their season against the San Antonio Spurs and undrafted rookie Bryn Forbes is on the Spurs roster to open the season.

Forbes was undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft after averaging 14.4 points per game and a 48% field goal shooting and a nations best 48% 3-point percentage in his senior season where he played in 35 games.

Forbes fits into a very deep backcourt for San Antonio, with aging vets Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli still on the roster plus rising superstar Danny Green it might be difficult for Forbes to carve out substantial playing minutes.

But hey, everyone has to start somewhere in making their dreams a reality.
