The Game 730 AM WVFN will have 11 hours of live and local sports-talk radio each weekday beginning Monday when Beanie and Brock replace Jim Rome in the noon to 3 p.m. timeslot.

Their new show, "Beyond The Game," debuts with a special live-on-location broadcast at Steakhouse Philly in East Lansing. A live broadcast of "The Mad Dog Show" will follow from 3 to 6 p.m. at the venue.

"It's a brand new show where Beanie and Brock will be giving Lansing sports radio listeners something that they've never had before, and that is interesting radio during the midday period," WVFN program director Nick Chase said.

"It'll be chock full of human interest stories, games, fun interactive stuff on social media-- an interview-intensive show."

Beanie and Brock had anchored WVFN's morning program since 2015 until earlier this month when Will Tieman and the Spartan Sports Network's "The Morning Show" took over the timeslot.

The Game 730 AM's new weekday lineup looks like this:

  • The Replay Booth, 6 - 7 a.m.
  • The Morning Show, 7 - 9 a.m.
  • Staudt On Sports, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Beyond The Game With Beanie And Brock, 12 - 3 p.m.
  • The Mad Dog Show, 3 - 6 p.m.

"We thought that this was a very important move to make, to make sure that we could be locally intensive as much of the day as we can," Chase said. "It's a very exciting day for Lansing come Monday."

"Because of the time change, we now have access to a lot of other guests, like people on the West Coast," Brock said. "That's a real, real positive thing. So you'll be hearing some new voices, and you'll still hear some familiar ones too."

"We're super excited. We've got lots of great ideas," Beanie said. "We think people are gonna like it."
