Austin Hatch Leaves U-M Basketball, Becomes Student Assistant
U-M freshman guard Austin Hatch has decided to give up his college basketball career and become a student assistant coach under head coach John Beilein.
Hatch will take a medical scholarship so his education can be paid for, but he is now finished as a basketball player.
Hatch has survived two plane crashes during his youth that killed his entire immediate family. The Wolverines now have another scholarship for the upcoming season.
