For the first time since 2009, the state of Michigan will host a PGA Tour event.

The Detroit-based Quicken Loans announced on Wednesday that an as-yet unnamed event will be played next June, most likely at the Detroit Golf Club.

This would be the first event in Michigan since the Buick Open was played at Warwick Hills CC near Flint back in 2009 (Won by Tiger Woods).

This event is expected to replace The National, which has been played in the Washington, D.C. area for the last several years.
