Jeff George, Jr. (pictured), the son of former Illinois and NFL quarterback Jeff George announced via his Twitter account, that he will transfer to the University of Michigan for his final two years of eligibility as a graduate transfer.

George, Jr. announced back in January that he was leaving the University of Illinois after graduating from the school in three years.  But he did not announce his school until Wednesday.

Jeff will join a crowded QB room in Ann Arbor with incoming transfer Shea Patterson, holdovers Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffrey already in the fold.  And true freshman Joe Milton will be eligible this fall as well, plus a series of walk-on QB's.

If he follows through on it, he'll have two years of eligibility left.  He played periodically over the last two seasons for the Fighting Illini.  He would be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.
