1. Tigers Bats Go Cold In Loss

The Tigers could not get their bats going against the White Sox last night losing 2-0.  The only two runs were scored during the second inning on a two run home run.  Kyle Lobstein got the start and pitched well going 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts.  Lobstein was out dueled by Chris Bassit who pitched 7 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.  Victor Martinez collected two hits during the game leading the team by going 2-2.  The Tigers will look to improve tonight as they continue to play against the White Sox.  The starting pitchers for tonight are expected to be David Price and Scott Carroll.

2. Bears Top Jets On Monday Night Football

As week 3 comes to a close, the Bears traveled to New York to take on the Jets.  The Bears jumped out to an early lead with a 45 yard interception and never looked back winning 27-19.  The Bears picked on Geno Smith intercepting 2 passes and sacked him 3 times.  Jay Cutler did just enough to win throwing for 225 and 2 touchdowns.  The Bears improve to 2-1 and will take on the Green Bay Packers while the Jets will host the Detroit Lions.

3. Rob Bironas Was Reported Missing

Rachel Bradshaw, daughter of Terry Bradshaw and widow of Rob Bironas, called the police to report he was missing.  On Saturday night, Bironas was killed in a car crash around 11 pm.  Bironas was 36.  Read more about the accident and story here.

4. Royals Lose One, Win One

The Royals and Indians had to finish a suspended game yesterday with the Indians leading 4-2 in the 10th inning.  The Royals were at bat when the game was called.  The Indians ended up winning 4-3 and finished just in time for the originally scheduled game.  In that game, the Royals got off to a quick start and won 2-0 over Cleveland in Cleveland.  Danny Duffy got the win pitching 6 shutout innings with 5 strikeouts.  The Royals will play again tonight against the Indians.

5. Three Teams Still To Left To Clinch

6 days left in the regular season and the Tigers, Cardinals and Dodgers, who are the current leaders in their divisions.  The Tigers are currently playing the White Sox then will end the season against the Minnesota Twins.  The Cardinals will play against the Chicago Cubs and then will play the Arizona Diamondbacks.  The Dodgers are playing against the Giants, who are also fighting for the division, and end against the San Diego Padres.
