1. Kansas City Tops San Francisco In Game 2

San Francisco entered game 2 looking for a 2-0 lead before going back to San Francisco for games 3-5.  But, Kansas City had something to say winning 7-2 and evening the series at 1-1.  The Giants had to dip into their bullpen to help stop the bleeding using 6 relievers.  Yordano Ventura got the start for Kansas City and pitched 5 1/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits and 2 strikeouts.  Jake Peavy got the start for San Francisco going 5 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits with only 1 strikeout.  The Royals used a big 6th inning scoring 5 of their 7 runs with Billy Butler and Omar Infante both went 2-3 and both had 2 RBI's.  Game 3 of the World Series is on Friday in San Francisco first pitch scheduled for 8:00 pm eastern.

2. Roger Goodell To Testify In Rice Appeal

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is going to testify in Ray Rice's indefinite suspension.  Originally, it was unsure if Goodell would testify because of previous comments he made about the decision being in the hands of the judges.  The hearing is going to be on November 5th and 6th according to people close to the case.  Read more about the case and comments from parties here.

3. Judge Stays Put In Adrian Peterson Case

In another case involving an NFL Star, a push to get the judge removed was denied.  Adrian Peterson is facing felony child abuse after using a switch to hit his child.  He faces up to 2 years in prison and and a $10,000 fine if he is convicted.  The tentative date for the trial is December 1st.  Read more about the case and situation around the judge.

4. UNC Probe Reveals Student Athletes Took Bogus Classes

In a probe at the University of North Carolina, about 3,000 students took bogus classes. Roughly 1,500 student athletes are included in that statistic.  The classes were described as easy, non-show classes giving students better grades with minimal work.  This has been found dating back to 1998.  Read more about classes and the results of the finding here.

5. Blake Griffin Being Investigated In Las Vegas

Los Angeles Clippers Star, Blake Griffin is being investigated for an altercation that occurred at a night club in Vegas.  The altercation happened last weekend after a game against the Denver Nuggets.  Griffin was with some of his teammates.  Read statements from police as well as some of the information associated with the investigation here.
