1. Red Wings Drop Sunday Game vs Buffalo

Last night, the Detroit Red Wings took on the Buffalo Sabers in Buffalo just days after a big win over the LA Kings.  The Red Wings fall in a shootout 2-1 losing the game 3-2.  The Red Wings had a lead in the 3rd period after Pavel Datsyuk goal but they could not sustain as Buffalo tied it up late in the 3rd period.  In overtime, the Red Wings had a goal disallowed where Johan Franzen was illegally in the crease.  The Red Wings next game will be Tuesday at Ottawa vs the Senators.

2. Michigan Tops Indiana To Keep Bowl Hopes Alive

The Michigan Wolverines hosted the Indiana Hoosiers at The Big House.  Michigan's defense had an uphill battle as they had to stop the fast paced Indiana offense.  The defense did just that as they held Indiana to 0 points in the first half and only 10 points throughout the whole game.  Michigan offense got going after last weeks game vs Michigan State scoring 34 points.  Michigan won 34-10 and improved to 4-5 and keeps bowl hopes alive.  Michigan will travel to Evanston next week to take on Northwestern.

3. Pistons Early Season Struggles Continue

Over this weekend, the Detroit Pistons took on the Brooklyn Nets in the Pistons home opener.  The Pistons hung tough but ultimately fell 102-90 after scoring only 15 points in the 4th quarter. With the loss, the Pistons fell to 0-3 in the new Stan Van Gundy era of the team.  The Pistons only played 8 players the whole game as everyone else sat as part of the coaches decision.  The Achilles heel for the Pistons is 3 point shooting going 1-17 from behind the arc.  The Pistons next game is against the New York Knicks on Wednesday at the Palace Of Auburn Hills.

4. Nick Foles Out With Broken Collarbone

Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles is out with a broken collarbone.  Foles left the game against the Texans.  Mark Sanchez took over for the injured Foles.  With the Broken Collarbone, Foles will probably be out all season.  But, Aaron Rogers did come back after 7 weeks so it is not impossible.  No timetable is set for his return.

5. Adrian Peterson Looking At Plea Deal

Adrian Peterson could accept a plea deal as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.  If Peterson accepts the plea deal, his charges would drop to a misdemeanor.  Currently, he is facing felony child abuse charges.  Read more about the deal here.
