The New York Yankees held the Detroit Tigers scoreless in their series finale 1-0 at Yankee Stadium Thursday afternoon.  Detroit (62-50) was held to only 5 runs in the four game series and could only manage 5 hits and just two runners in scoring position. Rick Porcello (13-6) lost his bid to become the Major League's first 14-game winner despite only allowing one run and striking out five in seven innings. New York (59-54) scored its only run on an RBI double from Steven Drew in the fourth inning. Shane Greene (3-1) struck out five in eight innings for the win and Dave Robertson closed out the game for his 30th save. Detroit now travels north of the border for a three game series against Toronto starting Friday night.  Anibal Sanchez (8-5) will throw for the Tigers while knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (9-11) takes the mound for the Blue Jays. Pregame coverage begins at 6:40pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
