The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Lansing area that is in effect in effect from 1 am on Saturday until 10 am on Sunday. The NWS says that "heavy mixed precipitation is expected with total snow and sleet accumulations of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of one quarter to three quarters of an inch are expected."

The Weather Channel says that with Winter Storm Isaiah, we can "expect power outages and tree damage due to the ice. Travel may become impossible, and clearing efforts will be very difficult due to the amount of sleet expected." They also add that if you must travel, you should keep an extra flashlight in the vehicle with you, along with some food and water in case of an emergency.
