Wings take down Capitals, 4-2
The Detroit Red Wings net their 5th victory of the season against the Washington Capitals tonight, 4-2. The game remained scoreless until the 2nd period after Gustav Nyquist scored with a wrist shot, Justin Abdelkater and Kyle Quincey on the assist. Washington fought back with a Evgeny Kuznetsov power play goal, tying it up. The Capitals would take the lead with a Troy Brouwer snap shot with just 1 minute left in the second. The Wings refused to stay down in the 3rd period. Abdelkater tied up the game with a wrist shot. But he wasn't done yet, he scored another goal with a slap shot. The cherry on top was a Pavel Datsyuk wrist shot with just seconds left in the 3rd period.
