The Detroit Red Wings had a good night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, defeating them 5-0. Tomas Tatar got things started in the 1st period with a wrist shot goal, with Jonathan Ericsson and Brendan Smith on the assist. In the 2nd Gustav Nyquist scored a power play goal, Johan Franzen and Henrik Zetterberg on the assist for that goal. 4 minutes into the 3rd, Tomas Jurco netted a wrist shot, and Riley Sheahan got a deflected shot for 2 goals in the 3rd period. But the Wings wern't done yet, Darren Helm scored a goal to give Detroit a 5-0 lead. The Wings take on the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night, Tune on Lansing's Sports Station, 730 AM, WVFN right after MSU Hockey.
