Williamston Soccer Star Conway Named HS Student-Athlete Of The Week
Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission present the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And this week's honoree is Ian Conway, a senior on the Williamston HS Boys Soccer team.

Ian has been a main factor in the Hornets run to the Division 3 semifinals this season.
In the district tournament two weeks ago, he had a total of five goals in the two games played. He had a hat trick against Lansing Catholic in game 1. And then two more goals in the finals against Brooklyn-Columbia Central.
In the regional semifinals last week against Grosse Ile he had a goal and assist, and was a main player in their overtime shootout victory over Ann Arbor Greenhills in the regional final.
Ian will be counted on as Williamston goes for a berth in the Division 3 state title game this coming Wednesday against Pontiac Notre Dame.
Conway is a great student, carrying a 3.97 grade point average. He's a third-year player on varsity as well as a team captain.
His head coach Ian Kurth says that Ian has bundles of energy and uses it to rally his teammates throughout the season.
You can nominate a Student-Athlete of the Week by going to the Lansing Sports Network app and filling out the form there.
Congratulations to Williamston HS senior Ian Conway of the boys soccer team. He's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week. And it's brought to you every week by Dowding Industries, and the Lansing Sports Commission.
