MSU football is a complete enigma as we speak. I will be doing the MSU Tailgate Shows again this year, and I'm excited to see what the Spartans do this year. I have no idea how this team will perform.

They have a logjam at the quarterback position. That is a good thing though because competition breeds solid play.

Mel Tucker was on the Mad Dog Show about six weeks ago. He stated he and his team will be ready for the first game at Northwestern on September 3rd. Toe to leather is at 9:00 PM. This should be a solid Friday night matchup.

MSU has question marks at every position because of the Transfer Portal. Last I knew MSU had the most players entering the portal in the Big Ten. At least 25 players have left the program since the last game in 2020.

This will be Head Coach Mel Tucker's 2nd year at the helm for the Spartans. Last year under severe Pandemic conditions it was very chaotic, to say the least! They didn’t even know if they were going to have a season at all.

So Tucker had a first season where it was wild and got somewhat of a pass. They lost games and won games they shouldn’t have. This team will totally be different because of all of the new players. It’s been pieced together like a quilt.

If I’m Coach Tucker, I like that situation a lot because teams that they're playing don’t have a lot of film on the new team members.

It starts up on the 3rd of September on the road in Evanston. I have to believe there will be a huge difference between last year’s team and this year’s team.

I am really fired up for the games and the tailgate shows. This year fans can go to all the games at full capacity and also tailgate. Last season with Covid-19 there was none of that.

It's a whole new season for Head Coach Mel Tucker. Will his team be ready to compete? We’ll see!
