The 2021 MLB season begins tomorrow on April Fool’s Day. The Detroit Tigers open up with the Cleveland Indians in Detroit. Some fans can attend in Detroit, but the stadium won't be at full capacity. The capacity limits vary depending on the state.

With the return of baseball, something I've been thinking about is what player I would start a major league team with. If I could take one guy and build my team around them, it would be Fernando Tatis Jr. He plays for the San Diego Padres and is just a great player.

Tatis Jr. plays a mean shortstop with outstanding defensive skills and a strong arm. He has power at the plate and speed that compliments that also. The Padres have an up and coming team in MLB too with some strong players and solid pitching.

Tatis Jr. just signed a 14-year, $340 million contract extension with the Padres. He’s only 22 years old. He’s a very solid player.

I would also take under consideration Mike Trout, Tim Anderson, Nolan Arenado, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Juan Soto. All are great players.

The new season is upon us, and while things seem to be getting back to some sort of normalcy, the Pandemic is still impacting our lives. To distract yourself from that, think about my question. Who would you start your MLB team with first?
